Wednesday's incidents and arrests numbers came slightly below the recent pace. Following the same theme, both narcotics and theft reports are trending downwards in the last seven days. Five arrests were made, only one of which was a new name in our records.

The day's reports leaned heavily toward noncriminal categories like service of papers, civil standby, and information reports, six of the 26 total. Behavioral health had three incidents, including one involving a juvenile in Cordata.

Five arrests Wednesday, all nonviolent. The standout: a 22-year-old picked up on a warrant at the 4000 block of Meridian St who now has 11 lifetime arrests in our records, the first dating back to January 2025. A 39-year-old was served three Bellingham Municipal Court bench warrants while already in custody at Whatcom County Jail. Two of the other three arrestees also had prior records, putting the repeat offender count at four out of five for the day.
