Monday was slightly quieter than usual, with just 25 incidents logged, about 23% below the eight-week Monday average of 32.4. Two misdemeanor assaults and three DUI arrests stood out against an otherwise slow day; characterized by noncriminal calls and minor disturbances.

Other non-criminal led the day again with nine reports, mostly found property and civil matters. DUI was the busiest criminal category with three arrests, bringing the 7-day DUI count to 10. Disorderly behavior saw three reports including two for trespass, one on Cornwall Ave and one in the Lettered Streets.

Seven arrests Monday, all first-timers or near it. The three DUI arrests came at 1:24 AM in Meridian, 5:07 PM in Birchwood, and 7:42 PM in Roosevelt. The Birchwood arrest also included a charge for driving without a license. Both assault arrests were domestic, including a 49-year-old just after midnight on W Laurel Rd and a 28-year-old on Donovan Ave in Happy Valley. A 49-year-old was picked up on a warrant at 1200 Cornwall Ave downtown, the same block that had a trespass report two hours earlier.
