Wednesday's 50% below average arrest total marks a positive change in the recent streak of high arrest days. Within those three arrests were a striking detail in a single incident near Cornwall Park. A 22-year-old was picked up for drug possession on the 2700 Block of Meridian St - marking their 16th arrest since January 2025, roughly one per month for the last year and a half.

Two categories are running above their recent baselines. Trespass reports have seen seven reports this week compared to one in the prior period, and drugs/narcotics with ten compared to two. On the other side, warrant arrests are down 42% week-over-week, which is interesting considering the past three day's elevated arrest totals.

All of yesterday's arrests were offenders previously seen in our data, the most notable of which was the 22-year-old's 16th arrest. The rest of the day saw a 50-year-old on South Hill picked up for disorderly conduct and a warrant arrest on the 800 Block of 10th St, and a 51-year-old arrested for trespassing at 3:27 AM on E Bellis Fair Pkwy.
