Yesterday was another above average day in terms of arrests, with 11 across 34 incidents. The overnight hours were especially busy: six arrests landed between 1 AM and 4:45 AM, including two DUIs within 17 minutes of each other, a vehicle prowl arrest in the Lettered Streets, and a narcotics arrest downtown on Grand Ave.

Disorderly behavior led the criminal categories with 7 reports, most of them trespass-related and concentrated downtown along Railroad Ave, Holly St, and N State St. Drugs/narcotics added two more arrests Tuesday, both downtown, continuing a sharp week-over-week increase. Burglary also remains elevated this week (8 reports vs. 2 the prior week), with a residential burglary in Cordata on Tuesday evening.

Four of Tuesday's 11 arrestees were repeat offenders. A 45-year-old picked up his 7th arrest since March 2025 on a trespass charge near E Stuart Rd in Meridian. A 43-year-old arrested for vehicle prowling on the 2200 block of F St at 3:29 AM has 5 lifetime arrests dating back a year. The day's two felony assault arrests were both first-time offenders, including a 54-year-old booked for assaulting a nurse at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.
