Sunday's incident count of 34 was fairly typical with recent reports, but the arrest rate stood out. Fifteen arrests - the highest single-day amount in the past 30 days, and more than twice the daily average in Bellingham.

Burglary reports have seen a notable increase, with two reports Sunday bringing the weekly total up to 8 vs. 3 in the previous period. On the quieter side, theft reports are trending downwards from the previous week despite a couple of Sunday pickups, and harassment incidents have dropped 75%.

Sunday's fifteen arrests started with a 24-year-old arrested for DUI and malicious mischief in York just after 1am, and ended with another DUI in Roosevelt just before midnight. Two subjects picked up their fifth arrests, one arrested on a warrant and court order violation in York, and another for burglary near Meridian.
