Whatcom Middle School saw a uniquely modern incident when a student at posted a threat on TikTok using an AI-generated image of a pistol, reportedly admitting to the post and showing officers the Gemini prompt history. Police say there's no active threat to the community. Offers also made a striking arrest near Cornwall Park at 11:06pm - a 37-year-old arrested for rape of a child (Case #26B27697). Further details are currently unknown.

Other non-criminal led the day with 15 incidents, mostly found property reports, agency assists, and trespass authorization letters. Behavioral health followed with 7, including a suicide attempt/threat documented downtown just before midnight. Disorderly behavior was the third most frequent category with 5 incidents, including trespass notices issued near Bellis Fair and on N State St in York.

While only three of yesterday's 39 incidents resulted in arrests, the severity of the Cornwall Park incident is remarkable. In another arrest, one of the most frequently arrested individuals in our data was picked up on a warrant arrest, marking their 19th arrest since January 2025.
