Six arrests were reported throughout the day, including a felony assault in Samish, a burglary arrest near Bellis Fair, and a 25-year-old picked up on narcotics and warrant charges at the 100 Block of E Magnolia St downtown.

Theft is up 33% week over week (20 reports vs. 15 the prior week), and burglary has jumped from 1 to 4 in the same span. Behavioral health reports, on the other hand, have dropped by half, from 34 to 17 over the past two weeks. Drugs/narcotics reports are up 60% this week (8 vs. 5), with two of Friday's incidents tied to the same arrest downtown. The Meridian corridor showed up in several categories Friday: a shoplifting arrest near Bellis Fair, a disorderly conduct report on the 4100 Block, and a burglary arrest at the 300 Block of E Bellis Fair Pkwy.

The Magnolia St arrest was the subject's 8th lifetime arrest in our data, all within the past year. Later in the evening, a 33-year-old was arrested for both burglary and outstanding warrants at the 300 Block of E Bellis Fair Pkwy, the hotel cluster near Bellis Fair. A felony assault arrest in Samish was the day's most serious charge, a domestic-related incident on Connelly Ave involving a 47-year-old with no prior arrests in our records.
