Tuesday was the busiest day Bellingham has seen in a month. 48 incidents, 12 arrests, and a domestic violence in Sunnyland reported to have resulted in an unlawful imprisonment charge. The day nearly doubled Monday's total (26, the lowest count in a month), with reports spread across 17 different neighborhoods.

Theft led categories yesterday with 8 reports, including three around Bellis Fair and two more on the 800 Block of Lakeway Dr (Fred Meyer). Suspicious circumstance reports are on the rise, with 17 in the last seven days compared to 10 the week before. Disorderly behavior saw 5 reports, including trespass issuances downtown on Cornwall Ave and on E Magnolia. On the quieter side, drugs and narcotics reports have actually dropped over the past two weeks, down from 11 to 4 in the 7-day window.

A 45-year-old picked up on the 1800 Block of Cornwall Ave for both narcotics possession and outstanding warrants - marking his 5th lifetime arrest in our data since February 2025. The outlier yesterday was the unlawful imprisonment arrest in Sunnyland, a 39-year-old was reportedly taken into custody on the 2600 Block of Grant St after officers responded to a domestic violence report.
